Originally from Auckland I am third generation New Zealand Chinese with market gardening roots in Mangere and Patumahoe.

My family’s humble beginnings as refugees in the 1940s have left me with an appreciation for the support that a community can provide and I am fortunate to be able to return this support through my career.

Teaching is a passion of mine and I use skills learned from a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Education to support trainee GPs as well as in my day to day mahi/work.

Outside of work I enjoy tramping, photography, carving, trail running, djembe drumming, and creating entries for the World of Wearable Arts competition.
